Two Months Too Cute

Hello Owen Lovers!

Today he is two months old! We can hardly believe it... how time flies.
He had his check-up with the Doc today to mark the occasion. He also got an unpleasant present of four shots... the first of many immunizations. Mommy cried right along with him. Poor little guy - those needles hurt! But he was a champ and did pretty well, all things considered.

So the big excitement around the Dr. appt. in our house was about his weight.

Drum roll please.......

A WHOPPING 11 lbs. 13oz !!

Way to go Little Dude! That means that he has gained 4 lbs in 6 weeks. He's also grown 2 inches. And all in all, he's healthy and thriving. That's all we can hope for.

Lil' Dude is seven weeks old. He's starting to relax his limbs a bit more (no longer bunched up in that "frog-like" position all the time) and can focus on items up to 12 ft away.

Our favorite development is the fact that he smiles voluntarily now... not just when he passes gas. First thing in the morning (after eating, of course) and in the late afternoon are his awake times, and there's always a good possibility that he'll give you a huge smile.

His face lights up... he coos...
