It's been requested that we post more photos! (Yes, we've been a little bad at posting regularly lately - the photos are on the camera, just not up here.)

Owen has discovered his fingers. Well, we should say finger, actually. His pointer finger is his favorite, and by far the tastiest. When Binky is not present, this finger will do. It's especially the best when accompanied by lots and lots of drool.....

We realize that black is not the most "baby" of colors.
As Papa said, "He looks like me today!".
We think he's handsome in black and grey... and yes, just like Papa.

Happy Birthday Lil'Dude!

He is now 3 months old. He has a smile that makes us melt, a little voice that coos, a screech that makes his presence known (just acquired last week!) and has in the last few days started to put things in his mouth (his fist is the favorite).

Knock on wood, he's been sleeping for 11 hours at night. Let us repeat - 11 hours. We aren't getting too used to this, as recommended by all the sleep "experts". Anything could change at any moment. For now, we are just enjoying it (if mommy could just stop peeking into the bassinet to make sure he's alive every two hours... sheesh).

So stay tuned! This next month will bring many new developments, new tales to tell, and tons more photos.

The Elongating Boy

Hello followers of The Dude:

Today marks the 12 week birthday of Sir Owen.
How are the stats stacking up, you ask?...

Weight: He's got to be over 12 lbs by now. Mommy thinks he could be close to 13...

Length: We swear he's grown about two or three inches in the last week. His Auntie A says he's definitely grown since Christmas. Proof of this is he suddenly can't straighten out his legs in about half of his pajamas.

Eating: Duh. Obviously he has no problems there.

Pooping: We'll spare you the details... but all is a go (perhaps we should nix this stat category. Ewwww).

Mood: Fantastic! He's a very happy boy... he smiles and coos all the time, and he loves to pour it on thick for Pops (especially when he changes his diaper). Mommt thinks that he had his first real laugh the other day... we'll keep you posted. Perhaps we'll try to be quick enough to capture it on video... stay tuned!

All in all he's exuding his cool dude-like behavior.
Would you expect anything less?

Happy 2008!

Only 2 1/2 months old and already a new year...

For the Lil' Dude it will be a big one - all that growing, eating real food, sitting, crawling and possibly even walking! It makes us tired just thinking about it, imagine how he will feel at the end of it all. But for now, we will enjoy each passing day and record the big events as they come.

May 2008 bring us good health, laughter and millions* of photos!



*Ok - perhaps billions.... we are crazy new parents, dontcha' know.
